Listed below are the important reminders and objectives for our week. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
Important Reminders:
- I am so excited to see how many students worked on Aleks at home last week! The kids took this idea and ran with it! Thank you so much for your support at home with this new tool to help increase learning!
- Monday we will be reading books with our kindergarten buddies in honor of Dr. Seuss Day!
- Friday the 6th is a half day dismissal is at 11:50.
- Please remind your child to turn in their February reading log this week!
Writing: This week we will continue Adapting and Writing Fairy Tales. We will focus on including narration in our stories as well as creating work plans for ourselves!
Reading: During reading this week, we are going to continue to focus on point of view. We have seen this topic come up frequently in the evaluate, so we are going to spend some time understanding the different points of view between ourselves as the reader and the characters in a text. This week will focus on point of view in a nonfiction text.
Math: This week in math, we will continue Chapter 10: Fractions. Our test on this chapter will be on Tuesday! We will then begin Chapter 11: Measurement. We will focus on measuring capacity and mass. Our x12 (and last multiplication test!) test will be on Friday!
Have a great week!
