Listed below are the important reminders and objectives for our week. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
Important Reminders:
- Make sure students are studying their multiplication facts at home!
- Scholastic book orders are due this Wednesday the 18th!
- Our "Compliment Chain" celebration (trail mix party) will be on this Thursday the 19th. If you would like to contribute, please send in items before then!
- Spelling tests will be pushed back to next week!
- Third graders will attend the Strings recruitment this Thursday at 2:00!
- Science Night is also this Thursday the 19th at 6:00!
Writing: Students have been working in cause groups and this week those cause groups will have two more sessions to revise, edit, and publish a piece. Students were able to choose the cause they would like to persuade an audience to care about/become more informed about.
Reading: During reading this week, we are going to continue to focus on point of view. We have seen this topic come up frequently in the evaluate, so we are going to spend some time understanding the different points of view between ourselves as the reader and the characters in a text.
Math: This week in math, we will begin Chapter 10: Fractions. We will begin this chapter with lessons focused on unit fractions and fractions as part of a whole.
